This Sunday we’ll gather to worship in song, prayers, the Word, and around the Table. Pastor Jim Renke will lead us through 1 Peter 3:1-7. In this passage, the Lord gives us some important instruction as to how we can live out the gospel in the way we live with one another. From Pastor Jim, “there is a way to understand this passage that may challenge what you think it says at first glance.”

First Hour Classes:
The Messiah in the Movies led by Sam & Miranda George. Can films reveal the true, hidden longings of humans for God?
Spiritual Disciplines. Exploring the meaning and practices of various disciplines which encourage and guide us in spiritual growth. Pastor Jim will be leading us next Sunday, May 12, as we look at Evangelism.
Virtual Prayer Gathering: This Tuesday night, 5/7, 7:00 pm, we’ll be gathering on Zoom for our prayer meeting. Come join us for a meaningful time of prayer—all from the comfort of your own living room. Zoom details to follow via email. If you have a prayer request or an update, please send it to office@evcl.org.
VCL Youth– Got a lot of homework? Grab your books and join us today after church for a taco lunch, followed by a study time. We will have individual and group study spaces, and, when the timer goes off, it’s time to have fun and let off steam. Ends 4 pm.
Coming up: Mother’s Day and VCL Directory Pictures! On May 12 and May 19 you will have an opportunity to get your family picture taken for Mom and for our new directory coming soon. We will have a corner of the great room set up for photos after the morning service. Come bless us with your best smile!
