Faith in Community

As we worship the Lord together, we will celebrate a baptism and the call each of us has to run the race the Lord has marked out for us. If we want to be faithful until our finish line, we must take our mindset, our decisions, and our Lord seriously. Let's dig into Hebrews 12:1-3 and find our inspiration to run the race!

General Announcements

First Hour  - Brothers, Loved by God, starting October 5th. Brotherhood weaves through Genesis and describes the Church now. Explore what being brothers and sisters means throughout the Bible and how brotherhood impacts your connections with family, fellow Christians, and the global church.

Thursday Women’s Bible Study:  All women are welcome to our weekly Bible Study.  This fall we’ll be studying the theme of Jesus in the Old Testament using the book The Christ Key: Unlocking the Centrality of Christ in the Old Testament by Chad Bird.  We’ll learn how consistent Scripture is in its revelation of Jesus as Messiah.  Books are  available for $20.  We begin Thursday, 9/18, 930—11 am.   Babysitting is provided.  Questions: Carol Marshall carolsings3@comcast.net

The Clothes of Righteousness is this year’s Women’s Saturday Gathering theme.  All ladies are invited to our October 11 Gathering in the Great Room.  We’ll focus on “Wearing our New Clothes.”  We will talk about these “new clothes” and we will hear a video clip from Kathy Bhatia sharing about She is Safe.  We begin with refreshments at 9 a.m.  This is a RSVP event.  Sign up for Saturday Gathering on your green card, calling the church office, or texting Karen Kissinger 847-223-5948.
