In a world where we are challenged from every side, it should strengthen our faith to know that there is a good case to make for God. Let's look at some of the evidence beyond Scripture then look at Scripture to see the God who has revealed himself to us.

First hour:
Starting June 7 First Hour: the adults’ & kids’ classes will coordinate in Psalm 23. This summer Kids Ministry is taking a journey across Ireland through Psalm 23 with our Emerald Crossing curriculum during the 9 am and 10:30 am hours. Join us as kids discover God’s peace & guidance, journeying from lost to found, fearful to peaceful.
Growth Group Leaders: We will have a quick meeting at noon right after the service today in the Boardroom.
Love INC: On Saturday, 6/13, we have an opportunity to help those in need with furniture deliveries and pickups. We meet at Love INC at 8am-noon to load the trucks. Those who are able, please contact Ernie Brandt at coachb1925@aol.com or 224-217-1966. The address is 339 Lakewood Ave. in Waukegan.
Summer talks: Starting June 10, Pastor Jim will be hosting, Bible, Sermon, or Spiritual Conversations, on Wednesdays from 6:30 pm to 8 pm. Feel free to bring your questions! Let’s take this time to open up conversations on what God is doing in our lives, or in our understanding of Him and His Word.
VCL Blood Drive. Our next Red Cross Blood Drive is Tuesday June 9. Please give if you are able. Appointments are scheduled every 15 minutes from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sign up at redcross.org. Volunteers needed to host people as they come to donate. Please call or email Chrissi Wall to help out.
Thank you to my VCL family for your prayers for me and my family in the passing of Lee. He loved being your shepherd for the 22 years we were with you. Thank you, too, for so many who were able to attend the Memorial Service and for the beautiful bouquet of flowers and many cards that were sent. Your continued prayers are so appreciated.
