Pray Like Jesus
This Sunday we worship the Lord who has invited us to pray His prayer. Pastor Jim Renke will lead us through Matthew 6:8-15, the Lord’s Prayer. We will discover how it is a prayer of comfort and hope, whereby we actively trust that God will guide to His Kingdom life.

First hour:
Starting June 7 First Hour: the adults’ & kids’ classes will coordinate in Psalm 23. This summer Kids Ministry is taking a journey across Ireland through Psalm 23 with our Emerald Crossing curriculum during the 9 am and 10:30 am hours. Join us as kids discover God’s peace & guidance, journeying from lost to found, fearful to peaceful.
Growth Group Leaders: Next Sunday, June 7, we will have a quick meeting at noon right after the service in the Boardroom.
Ladies! Summer is coming and that means Nights of Encouragement will soon be starting. Please mark your calendars for this Thursday, June 4 at Karen Flatebo‘s home, 7-8 PM. Our next date is July 23 at Yi Huang’s and then August 20 at Sarah Boburka’s. Pick up an invitation card in the foyer and invite a friend!
Virtual Prayer Gathering: This Tuesday night, 6/2, 7 pm, we’ll be gathering on Zoom for our prayer meeting. Come join us for a meaningful time of prayer-all from the comfort of your own living room. Summer talks: Starting June 10, Pastor Jim will be hosting, Bible, Sermon, or Spiritual Conversations, on Wednesdays from 6:30 pm to 8 pm. Feel free to bring your questions! Let’s take this time to open up conversations on what God is doing in our lives, or in our understanding of Him and His Word.
VCL Blood Drive. Our next Red Cross Blood Drive is Tuesday June 9. Please give if you are able. Appointments are scheduled every 15 minutes from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sign up at redcross.org. Volunteers needed to host people as they come to donate. Please call or email Chrissi Wall to help out.

Completing the Call: We want to rejoice that 95% of our pledges have been received! If you are looking to complete your pledge, please try to do so bythe end of June. For those who are newer to VCL, Completing the Call was a campaign started last May to pay off our mortgage (completed) and to refresh several areas of our facility.
